Dueling Police Endorsements

Andrew Cuomo snagged a significant array of endorsements from police unions today, including the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association and the Port Authority Police and Sergeants Benevolent Association. He also received the backing of the the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Million Mom March and New Yorkers Against Gun Violence.

Cuomo’s endorsements were announced at a press conference at the Police Memorial near Battery Park. Republican attorney general candidate Jeanine Pirro, meanwhile, campaigned upstate today and received the endorsement of the Troy Police Benevolent and Protective Association.
