From today’s pages, and schedules:
Jeanine Pirro, who takes her GOP attorney general campaign to the Albany area today, told the Journal News editorial board yesterday that former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer wrote a complaint to the state attorney general’s office three years ago because he was upset Pirro was investigating one of his friends. The letter alleged some officials in Westchester, including Pirro, were soft on corruption.
Pirro’s Democratic rival, Andrew Cuomo, will hold a morning press conference in Manhattan to “discuss gun violence prevention in New York.” Cuomo will be joined by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, Port Authority Police Officers and U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Former President Bill Clinton loaned his star wattage to Congressional candidate John Hall yesterday in Hall’s bid to unseat Republican incumbent Sue Kelly.
Eliot Spitzer and NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg pick sides in the Yonkers state senate race today.
And in the Yonkers Assembly race, Democrat Shelley Mayer and Republican Mike Spano are trading shots over advertising.
