Goblins of some sort were out and about in Pawling either late last night or very early this morning. State police are looking for whoever used orange spray paint to place several swastikas and the word fascist on Greg Ball’s office.
A Republican, Ball is running for the 99th Assembly District seat and has made controlling illegal immigration a big part of his campaign. That, he thinks, is what raised the ire of the graffitist.
Swastikas were painted in several places on the building’s exterior. The person or persons also misspelled fascist twice – leaving out the first “s” as in writing “Ball Facist Pig” next to his office door.
Ball’s office is on Route 22, not far from the Putnam County line. A small sign at the roadside lets people know that’s where they can find Exceed Development, the company he works for. There’s nothing denoting it as a campaign office also.
Ball faces Democrat Ken Harper.
