Spano Backs Hevesi

November
2

Alan Hevesi’s beleaguered campaign just sent out a press release with statements of support from a trio of suburban Democrats, including Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano.

Spano’s statement: “Through his prudent management of the State’s pension fund, which grew by $45 billion in the last four years, Comptroller Alan Hevesi consistently reduced localities’ contributions to the pension fund—helping our homeowners save on their tax bills. Chris Callaghan simply doesn’t have the experience needed in the Comptroller’s office and is unqualified to be Comptroller. I am voting for Alan Hevesi.”

Also in the release are statements from Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi and Nassau County Comptroller Howard Weitzman.
