Community Congress

November
6

Congressman John Hall has scheduled a “Community Congress” at the Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak on Saturday.

During the public forum, Hall plans to talk about his first six weeks in Washington, D.C. and outline his legislative priorities for the Hudson Valley. He’ll also discuss some key House legislation passed during the first 100 hours, including bills to cut student loan rates, increase the federal minimum wage and lower prescription drug prices for seniors.

Constituents of the 19th Congressional District will get a chance to comment, ask questions and express any concerns, said Tom Staudter, Hall’s press secretary.

The event will take place in the library’s Community Room at 1130 East Main St. at 3:30 p.m.
