Andrea Stewart-Cousins said it appeared she had prevailed in the state Senate race, speaking to supporters shortly after midnight.
“I am so aware that it is not my victory, that it is our victory. That it is a victory for change. That it is a victory for reform. That it is a victory for the people taking back their government. And it appears that it is a message that is resonating all around the country.”
