Giuliani says McCain’s a “Hero”

November
22

They are both exploring whether to run for president, but that shouldn’t stop Rudolph Giuliani and Arizona Sen. John McCain from remaining friends – so said the former New York City mayor today in Yonkers.

Journal News reporter Bruce Golding, who was on hand for Giuliani’s press conference, said Giuliani, when pressed by reporters about a possible confrontation with McCain, described the senator as a “great American,” and “one of my heroes.”

“We’ve been friends for a very long time and we’ll just have to figure out, if we both decide to do the thing that we’re exploring – If we both decide to do it, we’re gonna have to figure out how to do it and still remain very good friends,” Giuliani said.

Giulani was in Yonkers to help Entergy – owners of the Indian Point nuclear plant – announce plans to seek federal relicensing of the reactors. Giulani Partners was hired by Entergy as a security consultant.
