State Republicans also gave Rockland Republican Chairman Vincent Reda a new job today: executive vice chairman. He was previously vice chairman under now-departed Chairman Stephen Minarik.
Reda also delivered one of the speeches nominating Joseph Mondello to become the party’s new chairman at the GOP’s meeting in Albany. In a telephone interview with me, Reda praised Mondello as “the right man” to rebuild the party from the bottom up.
“He’s proficient in raising funds and developing candidates,” Reda said. “I think he is a good organizer and he’s gonna re-organize the entire state committee. We’re gonna be very much like the Phoenix returning from the ashes.”
