Spano and the Public Service Commission

December
6
While its been speculted that Gov. George Pataki is considering Sen. Nicholas Spano for a spot on the Public Service Commission, Spano told me today that no firm offers have been made.

“No one has made an offer,” Spano said during an interview inside his Yonkers office. “It’s nice that people feel I’m deserving. If something is offered, that’s when I will make a decision.”

As for his future, Spano said he has not made any decisions about what to do after leaving office at the end of the month. He expects his next job will be in “public relations or strategic planning.”

When asked if his public service career was finished, Spano said: “I hope not.” He also would not rule out the possiblity of running for Senate again in 2008.

“We have to wait and see,” Spano said.
