the last poster is an obvious right winger…the era
of conservative vs liberal is over…the new era of
centrist politics has begun..your foolish comments
indicate you can’t even read the polls..giuliani is
leading among all republicans in every part of the nation
so clearly he does have broad support..but can he get
nominated by the more conservative delegates who attend
the convention..maybe not..but whomever the republicans
nominate for president, it is the end of the evangelical
christian right calling the shots and the beginning
of true conservative candidates emerging like eisenhower
nixon ford and bush 41…the neocons, and the
Iraq disaster they pursuaded the president to pursue are out
and the next election will be determined by independents
and moderates in both parties.and you can take that

Rockefeller’s liberalism started the state Republican party’s run into the ground. His legacy is RINO’s like Rudy Giuliani, Mike Bloomberg, and Lincoln Chafee, who have no chance of broad-support on the national stage by Republicans outside of the northeast.

I was proud to have served the governor as assistant
director for youth in his 1970 gubenatorial campaign
Traveling around the state on his private aircraft
and learning how a real campaing should be conducted
was a great experience…Nelson Rockefeller was a great
governor and was the kind of republican
governor that new york deserves…
