For Congressman-elect John Hall’s chief of staff. The singer-songwriter and former Ulster County elected official who knocked off Congresswoman Sue Kelly, R-Katonah, announced his pick today. It’s Jean Bordewich, who is no stranger to the Hudson Valley or D.C.

Bordewich has served as Sen. Charles Schumer’s district director in the valley for the past six years. She’s also a Town Board member in Red Hook in Dutchess County.

“Jean’s detailed knowledge of the 19th Congressional District, plus her experience on Capitol Hill, make her uniquely qualified to serve as my chief of staff,” Hall, a Democrat, said in a statement. I’m grateful to her for joining my team. I’m sure the residents of the district will benefit greatly from her energy and expertise.â€?
