Hall’s Washington Office

December
12

Congressman-elect John Hall has been assigned office space inside the Longworth Building, which is the middle of three House office buildings located across Independence Avenue from the Capitol.

“Longworth Building Number 1217,” Hall told me during a visit to Greenburgh this morning. “That’s helpful because I know I’ll be looking at blue sky and sun coming in the south-facing bunch of windows. Which helps me during the winter especially.”

Hall held a press conference in Greenburgh with local labor leaders this morning to express his support for an increase in the minimum wage. The event was part of the Hillary-esqe “Listening Tour” he has launched this week to gear up for his new job.

As for the transition process, Hall said it has been daunting at times but he feels he is “ready enough” to take office.

“The hardest thing is getting lost in the tunnels,” Hall joked. “They have these tunnels under the House buildings and the Capitol.”
