How to fill a slow news period? The NY Observer helped flog but now is definitively dismissing a rumor that former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer might run for Congress in 2008, becoming the GOP candidate against Democrat John Hall. In an email to the Observer’s blog, Fleischer, a Westchester resident, quipped: “Now that I have children, I would never do anything that could risk making them into Redskin fans.”
