In between packing up his papers and personal effects, Gov. George Pataki found time today to send $7,500 to Cortlandt so the town can plant 40 trees along Broadway. The money is part of the 2006 Urban Forestry Grant Awards, totaling about $300,000 for 32 projects across the state. Cortlandt was the only Lohud community to get any arboreal moola.
