Room for two

The NY Post and AP are both reporting on plans by Gov-elect Eliot Spitzer to set up an office for his wife, Silda Wall Spitzer, at the state Capitol.

“She’ll have a place there to work from because what she’ll be doing is going to be important, I hope, and significant,” the gov-elect said of his wife, a lawyer, in an interview with The Associated Press.

Silda Wall Spitzer is expected to continue on as head of the Children for Children Foundation, which she founded in 1996; her husband said she would work, in an unpaid state role, on efforts to improve the lives of children and promote volunteerism.
