Spitzer(s) at an exhibition

Posted by: Liz Anderson - Posted in Uncategorized on Jan 03, 2007

Heading into Manhattan on the train? You may want to check out “Making of a Governor,” a photo exhibit set to run from Monday, Jan. 8 to Sunday, Jan. 21 at Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall.

The exhibit, according to a press release, “takes you into the adrenaline-fueled journey of the 2006 New York gubernatorial race. From the Bronx to Buffalo, from the West Side to Watertown, photographers Marius Muresanu and Eric Goeres were given unprecedented access into the nerve center of the Spitzer campaign. The kickoff, the speeches, the bus tours, the strategy sessions, the debates, the press conferences, the conventions, the election, and everything in between.”

There’s also information on “New York’s strange and lively gubernatorial campaign history,” compiled from the archiv4es of the Museum of Democracy.

The exhibit, which includes more than 500 photographs plus multimedia, is presented by the Manhattan’s Arts Council. Spitzer is expected to be on hand to speak at a “private VIP reception” held the evening of Jan. 11.

I find it interesting that Assemblyman Greg Ball was seen claping for our new Governor at the State of the State and he voted “yes” to keep Sheldon Silver as the Speaker of the House. What happened to Ball’s position that Silver is corrupt and the real problem with Albany is Sheldon Silver? Has Ball changed his position, is he now part of the Sheldon’s team? For all the negative garbage Ball put in print and on TV about Sheldon Silver, you would have thought that he would have had the courage to vote “no” for Silver to send a message that he is the reformer that he claims to be. Every single vote that Greg Ball places will be charted for review. Actions speak louder then words.
