The photo (look in the star) shows new Assemblyman Greg Ball, R-Carmel, at Gov. Spitzer’s State of the State address this week. The above was sent out by his office. Apologies, possibly, to Jimmy Stewart and Frank Capra.

   And yes he is claping for Democrat Eliot Spitzer and he also voted “Yes” to have Sheldon Silver to continue to serve as Speaker of the House. What happened to the Greg Ball who called Silver, “A Crook and the most currupt politician in Albany.” Has Ball kissed and made up or is he now part of the political machine that he campaigned against. One must wonder how a man could show such disdain and hate for Sheldon Silver then turn around and vote for him to remain the Speaker. People will have to keep a close eye on the quick talking Greg Ball and the manner in which he votes in Albany. Ball has made many promises during his campaign, he said he would have Rt. 22 widened, he would fix the immigration problem in Brewster and he was going to take it to Albany and fix all that is wrong with
   Albany. The public eagerly awaits the rest of Ball’s votes in the Assembly. Ball now must remember, “Action speaks louder then words.”

   Mr. Santos,

   Being that I was there I believe I am qualified to respond to your lie. Assemblyman Ball did not vote “yes” for Sheldon Silver for Speak of the Assembly. In fact sir, it is not possible to vote yes or no in the case of the election of the speaker. Assemblyman Ball as recorded by the clerk and as broadcasted across the state clearly stated, “Jim Tedisco” when asked for his vote for speaker.

   The Assemblymans’ vote has been broadcasted across the state on the cablevision Assembly channel for all to view.

   Mike Santos is wrong again. If he did his homework for once he could perhaps have watched the tape where every member of the Republican conference voted for Tedisco to be speaker and every member of the Democratic conference voted for Silver to be Speaker.

   I believe Greg Ball even issued a press release about his vote against Silver.
