absolutely right.......I think the reason for the meeting is the
not unreasonable fear that the Democrats, having been elected
in significant part because of the desire of 75% of the public to
rapidly depart from Iraq, may well not do anything.

investigations, supoenas, transparency - it's time that those
unimportant little people called the voters actually had access
to information about what our government has been doing
in our name for the past 6 years.

Our biggest fear is that the Democrats are, in the end, just like the
Republicans.

It is poor consolation to think that it may not matter that our
votes may or may not be counted honestly, if our choices are not
real choices to begin with.

its really very simple....start pulling the troops back
to the permimeter and force the Iraqi government to
deal with it's own sectarian factions..we had a civil
war..why should they be exempt if that's what they
want..since when can you impose a democracy on a tribal
society whose number one goal is revenge and with
a 1400 year history of arguing over who the true
believers are where do we get off to intervene.....
the neocons were wrong and the generals were right
and if the president engages in a troop surge
which will fall flat on its face...than the prospects
of john mccain being the next president will
also fall flat
