Anti-escalation

Posted by: Susan Elan - Posted in Uncategorized on Jan 09, 2007

As President Bush prepares to announce his plan to send more troops to Iraq, local anti-war activists have called for a “Westchester Says No To Escalation Rally” on Thursday at 6 p.m. in front of the Westchester County Republican Headquarters at 214 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains.

this republican is in the chuck hagel camp…no additional
troops for a surge…and withdraw to the perimeter to allow
iraqi’s to step up to the plate

How about forming a radical new group: “Republicans for Impeaching Bush & Cheney!” FOX News won’t know what to do about this aberration. Then, we could start another group called: “Swift Boaters for Impeaching Bush & Cheney.”

The possibilities are endless. Hey hey … Ho ho … George Bush has got to go! Hey hey …

President Bush is for me, the biggest disappointment
of any one I have ever voted for. If we had simply
gone after osama and fought the terrorists in afganistan
and around the world we would not be in this situation
one which was thrust upon the president by a group
of neocons who had cheney in their pocket…they
include wolfowitz, pearle, kristal, the journalist
krauthammer, and others..these guys are off the charts
when it comes to us foreign policy..they have corrupted
it and made republicans look like radicals…not
conservatives….the same can be said about the
deficits and tax policy…all of this is driven
by the evangical coalition with the neocons
and has a lot to do with their view of the middle
east and protecting the state of israel..but itis
not in the interest of American foreign policy goals

How can one possibly be “disappointed” with George the Younger? His career leading up to his appointment as President was an unbroken series of failures. He has never been big on reading, so it should have been no surprise that he did not bother to read memoes like the one titled “Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States”. He was an inveterate liar who avoided Vietnam in the National Guard and then went AWOL when that duty became inconvenient, committed multiple SEC frauds, and “recovered” from his substance abuse problem by discovering fringe right-wing religion. He arrived pre-determined to find whatever fig leaf he could to make war on Saaadaam, and with a motley collection of people who stood to gain massive economic or ideological rewards from that war. In short, the question should be how anyone could anyone ever have considered him to have any hope as leader of the most powerful and dangerous military-industrial complex on the planet? I suggest we all pay closer attention in the future.

oh, and I forgot to mention…...in the vein of paying attention, did anyone notice the mention, buried in Bush’s latest Iraq speech, the pending (and insane) attacks on Iran and Syria? or that we have just sent our second carrier group to the Persion Gulf? Military experts say that climate makes war in the region impractical until March, so that’s when we can expect it, unless we and Congress can stop it.
