Westchester North
If you are looking for Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano and about a half dozen members of the Board of Legislators today, you need to head about two hours north.
Spano and a contingent from the county legislature are in Albany this week for the New York State Association of Counties’ annual conference at the Desmond Hotel. The conference lasts through Wednesday morning.
Among the legislators present are Chairman Bill Ryan, Thomas Abinanti and Martin Rogowsky, all Democrats. The sole Republican in the group is Legislator James Maisano of New Rochelle.
Reports out of Albany indicate that the group had dinner Monday night with members of Westchester’s statehouse delegation, including Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, D-Scarsdale, and senators Andrea Stewart Cousins, D-Yonkers; and Vincent Leibell, R-Patterson.
