Mulrow Congratulates DiNapoli

Posted by: Glenn Blain - Posted in Uncategorized on Feb 07, 2007

Bronxville’s William Mulrow, who was one of the three comptroller finalists recommended by the screening committee, just gave me a very brief statement about today’s vote appointing Thomas DiNapoli to the post.

“I wish Tom DiNapoli the best,” Mulrow said. “He’s been a terrific assemblyman and I’m sure he will be great comptroller.”

Today’s vote by the state legislature marks the second time that Mulrow has lost out in a bid for state comptroller. In 2002, Mulrow lost a Democratic primary for comptroller to Alan Hevesi.

You really need to publish a roll call of how our area legislators voted on thie issue—so that we can really see who failed to have the guts to stand up to Silver. In Westchester—we appear to be represented by a bunch of earnest little Silver soldiers—who have just no clue how the legislature is held in disrepute.
