Paulin: Spitzer needs to get over it.
The feud between Gov. Eliot Spitzer and the state Legislature has led to obvious speculation that the governor might seek to unseat Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. But at least one local lawmaker doesn’t see fertile ground for a coup attempt.
“Shelly has enormous support in our conference,” said Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, D-Scarsdale.
As for Spitzer, Paulin said: “He’s angry and he has to get over it because we have a mutual agenda to achieve.”

that’s the problem silver has enormous support because
of business as usual for the democrats…of course
if there was a new leader he would have enormous
support as well.
Paulin is more of the same. She and her Assembly colleague’s do not have a mutual agenda with Spitzer. The Governor stands for reform, they stand for business as usual.
PAULIN NEEDS TO GET OVER HERSELF.
So true Peter, so true. What a bunch of hacks we have representing us. This is nothing but cronyism at its most blatant ugly worst. Latimer should resign. This is what people fought for? For shame.
DiNapoli got his reward for helping Silver raise the millions that have been used to build the super Assembly majority of 108 (minus one recent death).
It shocking that good legislators allowed slimy Silver to drag them down into the bowl of crap people now thing of the legislature. Silver agreed on the three comptroller panel, changed his mind and now all legislators, even those that truely work hard on important issues have been stained by the bad strategy of a man that has been in offie for far to long. Hopefully someone will take that egomaniac on soon.
Dimarco has got it right to the point. Silver and Bruno are power hungry facists that have spearheaded the pillaging of our communities, driving taxes up, driving people out, and killing NY while at it.
Perhaps a federal investigation into Silver is needed! Anyone has any leads for the feds?
Spitzer for President!!! (ok, maybe not now, but 4-8 years, why not?!)
Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi -
prior to his bereft campaign for Governor- mounted a campaign to “Fix Albany”—and recruited reform-minded candidates to primary incumbant Democrats. He prevailed in a couple of races. Maybe it’s time for that to happen on a larger scale. Take all the asseblymembers who voted to annoint DiNapoli—including Ms. Paulin—and recruit real reformers for a primary campaigns in two years—in every district. Nothing will motivate elected officials more to embrace real reform—than a real threats to their job.Paulin is a waste. She’s a nice lady but she doesn’t deliver. She doesn’t want reform because the system works for her. The problem is it doesn’t work for us. Amy! Please wake up and realize that the people have had enough, it’s time to leave Shelly and join us!!!
You’re all nuts. Spitzer is acting like a meglomaniac. It isn’t his job to pick a comptroller it never was and thats what he tried doing. The legislature did the constitutional thing and all the assemblymembers who stood up for the state constitution should be applauded.
