Not on the ball, so much?

February
13

The Albany Times-Union’s blog, Capitol Confidential, “is reporting”:http://blogs.timesunion.com/capitol/?p=3739 that outspoken Assemblyman Greg Ball, R-Carmel, is the only state-level officeholder to miss a Jan. 15 filing for his campaign committee. Ironically, it’s called New Yorkers on the Ball.

Is this article even serious? My god, are these the biggest skeletons they could find?!? This Greg Ball must be an angel…

I don’t know about Ball being an angel but he’s certainly no crook. I too can’t believe how this is being made into an issue. I read that Times Union blog and the update clearly explains how this was just a matter of confusion or some such thing. But of course, this is politics, and Mr. Ball’s detractors (i.e. “the booers”) will make hay of this. We can only hope the press has some scruples.

Give the new guy a break. I’m sure he will address this mistake promptly. This didn’t deserve the coverage.

    Ma’am

We have transferred treasurers, and there is a question as to which treasurer has to file the last report. We are AWAITING word from the State Board of Elections on this matter. We are following their guidelines, and once we get final word we will gladly file.

The next time you have any questions, please feel free to call me personally at 917 681 9302 to get the facts. I do understand how important and stressful it is to get the story straight before printing, thank you for your future patience and due dilligence.

    Thank you
    Greg Ball

    Greg,

Unbunch your panties. Noone is making a big deal out of the fact that you were the only state-level officeholder to miss a filing. Ms. Anderson is just reporting news. Your excuse is noted though.

Nothing better to bash Mr. Ball? New guy on the block. why dont some of you go after the entrenched people in politics and air out their laundry. Not a cloths line long enough to hang on for many of them.
