The difference between Senator Spano and Senator Leibell is simply. Senator Leibell’s district has more registered republicans then democrats and Senator Spano’s district has 30,000 more registered democrats. It was predictable that a democrat would take over Senator Spano’s seat eventually.

I am glad to see that you agree that Senator Leibell does a good job for the district he represents. He is my Senator and I am proud of the job he does.

As far as Senator Leibell being vulnerable, I think the numbers from last years election will show that Senator Leibell is far from vulnerable. Senator Leibell defeated Mike Kaplowitz in his own voting district, won Westchester County and won Putnam and Dutchess by a 2 to 1 margin. I think it is far fetched for anyone to imply that Senator Leibell is vulnerable. Now for our 2008 Presidential race, America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani is running for President. How is that going to play in New York? I think it will bring out every single republican voter and they will vote along the party line.
