A year ago today

For anyone who’s nostalgic about former Gov. George Pataki, here’s a bit of meaningless trivia.

It was one year ago today that Pataki was rushed into surgery at the Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt to have his appendix removed.

Pataki’s appendix had already begun to burst, however, and the governor remained hospitalized for nearly three weeks. He was eventually transferred to New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, where he recovered from an infection caused by the burst appendix.
