Hillary’s Thesis

Kudos to MSNBC.com for going to Wellesley College’s archives and digging up Hillary Rodham Clinton’s long-sought-after thesis.
The paper, written by a then-21-year-old Hillary Rodham, examines the tactics of radical community organizer Saul D. Alinsky and has been the subject of much speculation by Clinton critics, who believed it would offer proof of her left-wing leanings.
Whether or not they will find what they are looking for in the document remains to be seen, though she does cloes the thesis by comparing Alinsky to such social activists as Martin Luther King, poet Walt Whitman, and socalist labor leader Eugene Debs.
“If the ideals Alinsky espouses were actualized, the result would be social revolution,” Clitnon wrote. “Ironically, this is not a disjunctive projection if considered in the tradition of Western democratic theory.”
