Pataki releases Iowa supporters
As he did with his backers in New Hampshire, former New York Gov. George Pataki is telling his supporters in Iowa that they are free to get behind another 2008 presidential contender.
According to an “item”:http://www.iowapolitics.com/index.iml?Article=91053 posted today on IowaPolitics.com, Pataki is focusing his attention on policy matters and is telling supporters that he cannot guarantee a run for president this cycle.
Former Iowa Senate Majority Leader Stewart Iverson has already announced his departure from Pataki’s camp and more departures are likely in the days ahead, according to a campaign source cited by the website. Iverson has left Pataki’s team to become the newest member of Team Romney.
