Dear Joe,

March
16

The back-and-forth continues between the state’s GOP and Conservative Party chairmen. Here’s the most recent, from Conservative Party Chairman Mike Long, in response to this morning’s missive from GOP chief Joseph Mondello.
March 16, 2007

Hon. Joseph N. Mondello
Chairman
Republican State Committee
315 State Street
Albany, New York 12207

Dear Chairman Mondello:

I am saddened that you fail to understand the depth of the budget problems that New York taxpayers face.

The Conservative Party always has and always will support tax relief.

The Governor’s budget is far too expensive.

The Senate Republican Majority adds far too much to an already bloated budget.

I will say it one more time—SPENDING IS THE PROBLEM â€â€Å“ and New York taxpayers understand that.

When Republicans are ready to cut spending and taxes, the leaders of the Conservative Party will be ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with them.

Sincerely,

Michael R. Long
Chairman

One Response to “Dear Joe,”

  1. THE CONSULTANT

the republican party unfortunately believes it cannot win
an election without the conservative party….that of course is because the conservative party has essentially
had a veto over who the republicans select to run
maybe mr mondello ought to make it clear to mr long
that republicans will no longer be the dog who is
    wagged by the tail!
