People in lala land need to get a grip. Get with reality and start listening to the REAL issues at hand. I do not understand why some people can be so absorbed into something like they give a damn and then act as if they have no clue what the hell is going on. Sometimes I wonder if people are truly listening to what others have to say or do they act like they know what you are talking about to feel like they can "understand" you............ just some motherfucking food for thought. WOW!

Former presidents, judges, senators, army majors et. al. all retain their former titles for salutation purposes BY OTHERS, not to address themselves. The Senator should let his reputation and credibility speak for itself and he will see that others will call him Senator even without him calling attention to that title himself.

A former president is called Mr. President, and in some cases, as warmly as possible as in the case of Bill Clinton. A judge upon retirement is still respectfully called a judge. Public service doesn't pay much except in honor to those who honored the public trust. Just wages, if you ask me.
