Cox and company are entirely mistaken in their own relevance. Rudy WILL lead the Republican party ticket here in NY and the rest of the nation. What Cox and company are doing is merely ensuring that when Rudy beats the tar out of McCain, that their political acumen, which is zero, is completely exposed. McCain does not stand a chance here in NY on February 5, 2008. Any NY republican who does not stand for the home team will see their future very limited. Since Cox has no future, I guess he does not care. The other bubbleheads in the republican party who fail to understand that we need a hometown boy to restore the republican banner simply do not understand grassroots politics. John McCain will do absolutely nothing for local republican politics. He will not pull out a single extra vote; but Rudy, especially in a match up against Hillary, will. Hillary will beat McCain without sweating here in NY and the NY republican voters will have no reason to step out and vote as Rick Lazio and Spenser learned the hard way. Not so with Rudy. Remember, Rudy obliterates voter enrollment statistics in this state. He gets tremendous crossover voters. Local republican candidates will benefit by being on a ballot with Rudy. So Cox really is a fool, and so are his delusional comrades. And if Rudy wins the big gig, what in the world will the fools who supported McCain be left with: unemployment. Cox is irrelevant; the only news is that he and his kin will demonstrate their political stupidity and hopefully move to another state. In fact, after 2/5/08, which is not too far away, Cox and company will simply look like damn fools.

It will be Thompson or believe it or not ….The outside horses stalking could be Huckabee or Newt. Both true Social & Fiscal Conservatives and acceptable to the Heartland.

I am awaiting for the inside scoop right now…....But our NY GOP is far out in left field at this time and clueless to national politics.

(Rudy & McCain) attaching to the so called NY Insiders (Guy Molinaro, Cox, Quinn, Mahoney Pals & Powers) shows that they (Rudy & McCain) are grabbing at straws as all of the above mentioned are in past tense.

When I see the true insider connectors selected, then I know who the real candidate will be. The true outsiders are soon to choosen.

the interesting thing about that situation was that mike
long ( who although I believe wields far too much power)
indicated from the outset that jeanine (because she is
pro choice) would not get the conservative nod..kieran
ignored that to her peril..and so had cox stayed in
he would have ultimately been the choice

I agree…McCain & Rudy don’t get it either. (Election)....All NY GOPers are smoking dope and have no clue on National politics. They all have “Tunnel Vision”

But on the other matter, Cox left the US Senate Race, that is the fact. If Cox had any true idea on politics in New York State he would not have left. He should have known that Mahoney was a boob and a loser.

Cox could not figured that out? It was a ground ball to outwit Mahoney knowing that Pirro was his liberal candidate. You tell me nothing new.

Spencer to his credit knew he would be standing at the end of the day with Mahoney and Pirro left in the ring.

Could Cox had not figured that Pirro would be leaving the race? Chairman Long telling them both they were not getting the Conservative Party line?

Again, Cox runs on the Father in Laws name, other then that he never held an elected position before. Nice guy Ã¢â‚¬â€œ But what has he done except attach himself to Nixon?

let me explain what happened…jeanine was the governor’s
choice because her consultant kieran mahoney wanted to
make the 15% on all the anti hillary money they thought
they could raise..they didnt’for a second consider the fact
that jeanine was not a federal candidate…(ie see new york
magazine, where I explain the whole thing) at any rate
cox was outmaneuvered by kieran and simply got disguested
however MCain is not going to be the republican nominee
watch for Fred Thompson to get in the race..and watch for
the conservative wing to look for a rudy althernative
but the main issue is who can beat hillary

We all know what happened to Spencer, though the ponit was this:

In a three way State fight in the GOP look who fled the US Senate Race and look who stood up to the others. The Governor and GOP said it was to be Pirro for US Senate, instead of staying in the ring fighting, Cox walked out of that race. That was the point.

Cox runs on the Father in laws name, other then that he never held an elected position before. Nice guy – But what has he done except attach himself to Nixon?
He is a White-shoe lawyer.

Let’s see, Ed Cox who?

The NY Conservative Party had already given Mayor John Spencer two dozen County Chairs of support (Via CP Leader Jim Kelly push) while Ed Cox had NO support.

Cox proved himself weak kneed when Gov. Pataki picked Pirro and left the race instead staying in the ring, fighting for the US Senate like Spencer did. Cox could not run his own race let alone McCain’s Race.

sorry ed but you are four yeas too late..mccain’s war
position virtually eliminates him from winning in new york
chuck hagel has a better chance….John McCain’s flip flop
on the evangelical right has not earned him any respect in new york either….on the other hand rudy is home grown
and easily wins the new york primary…the only question
for rudy is whether he can do the same in other states
I believe republicans of all stipes are ready for a candidate who can keep hillary out of the white house
