Majority Assembly Democrats saying they had no control over this budget is like Majority Senate Republicans saying they didn’t need to put in any work to get the extra funding that they got for their districts. It simply doesn’t make sense.

let’s assume arguendo that brodsky fought valiantly for westchester, and that spitzer’s representative is incorrect
what does that say about the ability of the entire westchester assembly delegation to get shelly silver
to do what joe bruno used to do for nick…not much of a
comparison…so when paulin and brodsky team up it
serves simply to remind us all what a mistake was made
when nick spano was not re-elected

Bandit & Scary’s unyielding defense of the status quo in Albany would be amusing, except for the fact that this status quo has worked so poorly for decades.

From what I can gather they’re trying to say, they believe that Brodsky fought valiantly for Westchester, only to prove that he is just not up to the task. And then, he fell back on his political mainstay: Governing by press release. Very professional.

Scary would also be well served by picking up a high school textbook on American history to get a basic understanding of the concept of checks and balances. “Checks and balances” has nothing to do with splitting control between political parties – it’s a system of structural limitations between the three branches of government.
Quiz for Scary: Name the three branches of government. (Hint: Despite what you may want to believe, none of them are named “Spano”).

Wow-Assemblyman Brodsky really angered the Governor-why because he did his job and fought for the people of Westchester unlike the Senate Democrats. Now they through out lies about him. Very professional.

Dont worry Assemblyman the people of Westchester are indebted to you for having the guts to fight for us. And after all in the long run-the people are all you need to be concerned about.

Could you imagine how bad things would be if the dems took over the Senate? You see the in fighting with the dems controlling the Governors office and the Assembly. The dems would have control of all three levels of state government if they got control of the Seante and they would fight like cats and dogs. We need checks and balances to assure that everyone is playing nice. A little disagreement of the different bodies is good for the ststem.
