Blowing in the wind
U.S. Rep. John Hall plans a series of forums on energy independence and renewable sources of energy beginning with one about wind power Monday evening in Beacon.
Five wind energy experts will speak at the public event and Hall will report on Congressional efforts to promote renewable energy, especially wind power.
“Wind turbines can be an opportunity for farmers to generate additional revenue, and for businesses and even homeowners to lower their electricity costs,” said Hall, a member of the House of Representatives Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming.
The forum will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Howland Cultural Center, 477 Main Street, Beacon.
