On the road
Fresh from a morning conference on autism in Millwood, Congressman John Hall stopped briefly at Town Hall in Mount Kisco where he called for reform of the Alternative Minimum Tax.
“The alternative minimum tax was created to prevent the wealthiest Americans from using loopholes to circumvent federal taxes,” Hall said. “Tens of thousands of middle class families across the Hudson Valley are now being ensnared by a tax that was never intended for them.”
Village Manager Jim Palmer came out in shirt sleeves to greet Hall who was having trouble buttoning his suit jacket.
“I’ve got to stop going to all those receptions,” Hall quipped.

”...Hall stopped briefly at Town Hall in Mount Kisco where he called for reform of the Alternative Minimum Tax…”....
Mr. Hall, your party has the majority of both houses of Congress. Stop “calling” for things and just “DO” them! Have you introduced legislation to fix the AMT? Are you a co-sponsor? If so, why hasn’t the bill been passed?
