Clinton to raise New York $$ Monday

Sen. Hillary Clinton will be in Manhattan on Monday evening raising money for her presidential campaign.
The most-publicized event is a “Party on the Pier” fundraiser from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Pier 94 that includes a “special appearance by President Bill Clinton” and musical entertainment by Vanessa Carlton. Tickets run from $100 to $2,500. Those who raise or contribute at least $2,500 get a VIP reception. The event is co-sponsored by Clinton’s exploratory committee and the HillBlazers, her core fundraising group.
A little poking around her Web site reveals at least one other stop. “Lawyers for Hillary” is touting “an evening with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pegasus Suites at The Rainbow Room in midtown. (VIP reception at 5:30 p.m.) Tickets for that run a wee bit higher, from $1,000 a person for a “friend” to $2,300 for a “supporter” and $4,600 to be an “honored guest.”
Update: A representative of the senator said “this morning”:http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070420/NEWS02/704200435 that Clinton will tour flood-damaged parts of this area on Monday, presumably earlier in the day.
