What Harry Reid meant to say

April
20

As he was rushing to leave Mamaroneck, Sen. Charles Schumer had this to say about Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s comments Thursday that the war in Iraq is â€Å“lost.â€?

“Well, what he really said, was: if we don’t change course, it will be lost,” Schumer said. “He is right. We should stop fighting a civil war and instead focus on counter terrorism. That was our original goal.”

When asked if he felt the war was lost, Schumer responded: “No. I say we have to change course or it will be.”
