Only the narrowest voters in the Democratic Party would oppose him.

I voted for Kevin two years ago, and shall do so again this year, if he is nominated or chooses to run as an indy.

1.) Truthteller (AKA Bob) bashes Rebecca Baker for not posting their announcement and then corrects himself again in the following post. Nice research effort, Bob, way to have all the facts before your super intelligent post!

2.) The previous post poses a very interesting question to which we all need an answer… Why aren’t you running for town council this year? Could it potentially be because you are unable to stand up for yourself when you are embarassed at board meetings? Possibly. The people deserve an explanation!!

I must admit truth teller I admire your tenacity. Over the years you’ve not given up in Greenburgh. Neither shall I. Only the voters determine who is the victor and who goes home. That’s something we must all remember in our little battles.

I also love how you feel that the prior two comments are attributable to Morgan. Furthermore, Morgan did not “slime” anyone last time around actually. Yes, there was a lot of back and forth jousting with other parties, but Morgan wasn’t really a part of that.

Truth Teller, one last question. Why don’t you run for town council this year?

And make no mistake, Journal News, the purported lesson in libel law that follows is a veiled threat intended to put you and the rest of us on notice that Morgan, Feiner and their supporters intend to push the envelope when it comes to bashing those who get in their way.

In the last election, their threatening blog entries turned so nasty and personal that, perhaps by coincidence or perhaps not, property was vandalized and the Greenburgh police were called in to investigate.

Truth:

A person can also become a “limited public figure” by engaging in actions which generate publicity within a narrow area of interest. For example, a woman named Terry Rakolta was offended by the Fox Television show, Married With Children, and wrote letters to the show’s advertisers to try to get them to stop their support for the show. As a result of her actions, Ms. Rakolta became the target of jokes in a wide variety of settings. As these jokes remained within the confines of her public conduct, typically making fun of her as being prudish or censorious, they were protected by Ms. Rakolta’s status as a “limited public figure”.

Sometimes people will hide behind things even in public.

Isn’t it true that you’re just embarrassed that Mr. Morgan took you to task when you showed your computer to the television audience at the meeting. You may feel like you run the town and can say whatever you want, but that is not the case and will not be tolerated any longer.

If Mr. Morgan wanted to bankrupt them for their outright lies he could have, but he did not stoop as low as you would.

Voters want a change, and voting for Mr. Morgan is the right choice.

Finally, it seems as though shill is your “word of the day”? Please come up with something new next time.

Bob, it is quite amusing that you can hind behind a computer screen and bash people. But when you are exposed at a board meeting you have nothing relevant to say.

Morgan’s sole contribution to town political thought since his last run for office two years ago was to blame his opponents for supposedly smearing him, and then threatening to bankrupt them with lawsuits he never brought.

And Morgan as effective communicator? Hardly. All he’s ever done publicly is shill for Feiner, joining with him in opposing the library referendum, defending Feiner’s publishing without parental consent the names, addresses and telephone numbers of kids on the town’s website, defending Feiner’s taking thousands of dollars from developers with applications pending before the town, accepting that money to fund his own campaign (even though some of the contributors had applications pending before the planning board where Morgan sits) and supporting just about every other hare-brained scheme Feiner’s ever come up with.

Voters said no to Morgan the last time and he’s done nothing since then to change anybody’s mind.

Well, to begin lets look at the difference between bickering and debating. The way that Mr. Morgan will put a stop to the bickering is be engaging in thoughtful debate. How does bickering help our town?

Mr. Morgan has very effective communication skills that he garnered as a police office for 21 years in Greenburgh, the town that he has lived in his entire life. These skills, and his love of this town will make him a very effective member of the board.

For someone known as the TruthTeller you certainly lack the facts.

The last time Feiner couldn’t for himself find a better shill than Morgan, and Morgan, who relied almost entirely on Feiner’s money to promote him, lost badly.

And Morgan is planning to do the same thing again.

The fact of the matter is that Feiner is running with both Morgan and Brown; that none of them will get the endorsement of the town’s elected Democratic Committee, and that Feiner will “announce” them as his running mates shortly thereafter, as they together collect signatures to get on the ballot for the Democratic Primary.

About the only one who doesn’t seem to already know this is—you guessed it, the Journal News’ own Rebecca Baker.

Incidentally, Morgan and Brown will be challenging the two incumbents, Steve Bass and Eddie Mae Barnes. How is it that both Bass and Barnes issued their announcement last week but Rebecca didn’t even find the time to blog it, much less mention it in the paper’s print edition?
