Senator stewart-Cousins was on the job working and advocating on behalf of us flood victims. She didn't need to pose from a helicopter ON TV. How silly this moron falls for Nick and his theatrics. She is a breath of fresh air...she has been working to help flood victims directly rather than holding meaningless press conferences. Her office helped me directly with my application to FEMA. I was one of the first to register. She relayed the information to us immediately. I commend her and her staff for their marvelous work. That's what we need a Senator who gets results...not flying by the seat of his helicopter or other posterior body parts. How sad is this? It was both hurtful & gratuitous to include me and my past problem in the story filed by Glen Blain. I've served this community for nearly three decades, and yes, I made a terrible mistake many years ago for which I am truly sorry. I acknowledgd my wrong doing then, paid my debt to society, and continue do what I can in charitable and civic endeavors throughout the Hudson Valley. My family, friends and business colleagues have been very suportive and forgiving. It seems that despite my efforts to rebuild my life in the private sector, contributions made, and business successes; the Journal News doesn't want to forgive or forget. It seems to judge people not by their deeds, but by their short comings and failures. Despite what the JN writes, I am indeed fortunate to have business associates, family & friends that continue to believe in redemption.
