Ready or not, the first presidential debate takes place tonight, when the Democratic contenders gather at South Carolina State University for an hour-and-a-half matchup. The event starts at 7 p.m., and will be carried live on MSNBC and msnbc.com. The network also plans to preview the debate throughout the day.
