His problem of course is winning the republican primary base voters whose allegiances are usually to more conservative voters. Obama will not be the democratic nominee and you will note he does not do as well as mrs clinton even against Rudy..However lurking in the backround, is Al Gore who, EVEN THOUGH NOT A CANDIDATE, is holding is own against Rudy in the swing states...should he decide to get into the race, I believe that those in the democratic party who are scared to death that Hillary cannot win, and who are not comfortable with obama's lack of real experience will rally round Gore... which might lead to a Gore Obama ticket ..now that would be a potent democratic ticket against any republican Giuliani has made clear that he is the only republican
