A conference call with Bono

Posted by: Glenn Blain - Posted in Uncategorized on Apr 30, 2007

He’s shared a stage with President Bush and now U2 lead singer Bono is about to share a conference call with one of the candidates seeking to replace him.

Bono will join Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rep. Nita Lowey of Westchester and Rep. Spencer Bachus, an Alabama Republican, in a noon conference call to launch the Education for All Act of 2007.

The act seeks to boost spending on worldwide education to ensure that the U.S. will “meet the goals of universal basic education by 2015,” according to an advisory put out by Lowey’s office.
