Putnam Republican Banquet
Putnam Republicans plan a $100 a plate banquet Saturday in Brewster where they’ll have a chance to hear state Republican Chairman Joseph Mondello.
The dinner at Sciortino’s Restaurant will honor Patterson Republican Chairwoman Dorothy Pederson and Charles Ferrante of Putnam Valley, a former Republican Committee vice chairman.
Current Vice Chairman Henry Lopez said about 200 are expected.

Westchester County has a pop. of about 1,000,000 people and the GOP down there only pulled in 250 people for their dinner. Putnam County has a pop. of 100,000 people and they pulled in 200 people to their dinner.
We have a problem.
Westchester County is controlled by the Democratic party and has been for the last 10 years. When Westchester had a Rep. County Executive and control of the Board of Legislators they would have over 1000 attendees at there dinners.
Putnam County which is clearly controlled by the Republicans should be able to fill a room with at least 300 people at there dinner.
It about who has political control. The Dem’s in Westchester pack the room with well over 750 people when they have there dinners.
It not about the party, it is about the power.

no real effort to make the westchester party
a real party because the people who are officers
of the party are more interested in making
a vig on the campaigns of the candidates
they pick than in picking great candidates
plus in westchester the independence party
completely controls the republican party
because the belief is you need three parties
to even have a chance of beating the democrats
but Pete is not entirely wrong…no jobs
to give out..no reason for anyone to attend
the dinner…but the reverse is true..you will
never be in a position to elect anyone countywide
unless you cut your ties with the independence
party, stop using the political process for self
gain, and put up moderate candidates like
giuliani who can get democrats to vote for them
Mike, you’re the biggest political whore there is. When was the last time you volunteered your services to help a Republican campaign? We saw you volunteer your services just a few days ago to help Democrats – any such help for Republicans? Lord knows we (Republicans) need the help more.
I, sir, think you are all talk even though you don’t know what you’re talking about. If you disagree with the Independence and Conservative Parties so much and you’re such a “principled” individual then please, for our edification, tell us why you took third party support when you ran for office and why you advised clients such as Pirro & DiFiore to do the same. Not to mention that you are on record on Newsmakers saying that “Jeanine should not run for U.S. Senate because she doesn’t have the support of Mike Long.”
You are quite the hypocrite and you have a ton of explaining to do before you open your mouth about others.
