Brewster business owner Bill Mangieri today announced his candidacy for mayor of the village.
The 38-year old Republican, who owns Brewster Cleaners, said revitalizing Brewster and reforming government are his top priorities.
His campaign is part of the “Save Our Southeast” reform movement which has a zero-tolerance policy on illegal immigration, Mangieri said.
Brewster has become “the day laborer depot of Putnam County,” he said. “I will work hard to reduce and eventually dissolve all day labor activity in the village of Brewster.”

I’m so happy to see a candidate like this emerge. I’m a second generation LEGAL American. My family waited in line to come here from South Africa and now I question why. We have to pay taxes and pay for our medical care unlike those selfish illegal immigrants who break the laws of this country and then demand free services. I live in Hastings so I will note be voting for this gentleman but I do support him and others like him.
THIS IS ONE OF GREG BALL’S CRONIES. PATHETIC. CAN ANYONE SAY “POWER-PLAY”?
