Kaplowitz to run for sixth term

Westchester County Legislator Michael B. Kaplowitz, D-Somers, announced today that he plans to run for a sixth two-year term.

Chairman of the Legislature’s Budget and Appropriations Committee, Kaplowitz was joined for his announcement outside the Yorktown Town Hall by Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano and board chairman Bill Ryan, D-White Plains.

Kaplowitz has represented the district which includes most of Yorktown, most of Somers and all of New Castle since 1998. An attorney and certified financial planner, he lives in Somers with his wife Jayne and their two daughters who attend Somers public schools.
