The trees

Posted by: Mike Risinit - Posted in Consolidated Edison, Greg Ball on May 24, 2007

Got a beef about Con Edison’s tree work in Yorktown? Assemblyman Greg Ball will be hosting a forum tonight to help mediate relations between the company and the Yorktown community. Some residents in late winter were miffed with the utility company’s clearing of brush and trees along its transmission lines in town.

The forum will take place in Yorktwon Town Hall on Underhill Avenue from 7 to 9 p.m. Yorktown Councilman Nick Bianco and Riverkeeper Attorney Leila Goldmark are attending, Ball’s office said, and representatives from Con Edison and environmental and community groups have also been invited.
