Posted by: Glenn Blain - Posted in 2008, Hillary Clinton on May 31, 2007

The latest move by Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign to motivate and raise money from young women voters has hip, clubby name: “Club 44. ” (Clinton would be the 44th president).

And it will get started with a big block party in downtown Washington, D.C., on Wednesday featuring, among others, 10-time Grammy winner, Kenny “Babyfaceâ€? Edmonds, and American Idol finalist, Katharine McPhee. Actress and comedian, Caroline Rhea, will serve as the emcee of what the Clinton campaign says will be a “family-friendly event” attracting a crowd of thousands.

The price is $20. See the “invite”:https://contribute.hillaryclinton.com/events/dc0606.html.

Others expected to attend are former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro, tennis legend Billie Jean King, human rights activist Dolores Huerta, and EMILY’S List president and Club 44 co-emcee, Ellen Malcolm.

I would like to request more information about volunteering my time to Senator Clinton’s presidential campaign.

I became a citizen of this country so that I could vote for her husband when he was re-elected.

I am so disappointed to see that Hilary Clinton has a web site titled Club 44. It is to get women to elect her because she is a woman. She has sent the women’s movement
back 100 years. Women should vote for the best candidate,
no matter what the sex of the candidate. If you want people
to look at you as a presidential candidate then don’t play
the “I am a woman” card.
