Congressman John Hall, D-Dover Plains, plans to address the annual rally of the Putnam-based People Against Domestic Violence in Cold Spring on Saturday.
Patti Butler, the mother of Elizabeth Butler, the North Salem High School student who was raped and murdered by her ex-boyfriend in 2005, will also speak.
The event begins with a noon “Awareness Walk” through Cold Spring and Nelsonville. Participants are asked to get a sponsor or make a $20 donation.
The second phase starts at 3 p.m. with a “Break the Silence” march down Main Street in Cold Spring.
The gathering point for both events is St. Mary’s Church at the intersection of routes 301 and 9D.

Isn’t this the poor lady whose daughter was murdered by an illegal immigrant? I wonder if she realizes she will speaking with someone who wants to reward all illegals with citizenship, and give them all the free government handouts that come along with it. Someone should tell her about the real John Hall and his love of illegal immigrants.
