Some more help from his friends

Singer-songwriter turned Congressman John Hall is getting renewed fundraising support from fellow musicians Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, and Graham Nash.
In a letter today the three laud Hall for his work representing District 19 and charge that Karl Rove has targeted Hall as one of the top 20 Democrats to defeat in 2008.
“Because we believe it is essential to keep the House majority and keep John in Congress, we are asking for your help again,” the musicians write. “Early money is critical in these Congressional races. You made the difference last year, and you can do it again.”
They caution potential donors that Republican Andrew Saul of Katonah, a multimillionaire who made his fortune in the clothing industry, is preparing to run against Hall.
“John has been an important member of the new Democratic majority, helping to raise the minimum wage, redirect tax breaks from oil companies to invest in renewable energy, and cut student loan interest rates,” they write. “He has fought for timelines for withdrawal and voted against the recent supplemental funding for the misguided war in Iraq.”
