I think the fault lies with the audience and not the performer. Actually, Katharine's mic wasn't very loud but the people close to the stage seemed to enjoy it, see the pictures in the website. I would bet that Katharine would have had a great reception by a this Detroit audience and that Lynn would have had an equally difficult time in DC. Rather a gratuitous slam at Katharine!
