Hillary’s first six months
As the presidential campaigns reached the midpoint of 2007, much of the news dealt with Barack Obama’s eye-popping fundraising numbers  especially the fact that he did better at raising money than Hillary Clinton.
So, it makes sense that Clinton’s campaign would remind people today that New York’s junior senator still enjoys big leads in most polls, has performed well in the debates and has scored a bevy of key endorsements.
“In most of the key early primary states where the candidates are spending the most time, where voters have the opportunity to get up close and personal, Hillary’s lead is growing while the other leading contenders continue to lose support,” Clinton’s Chief Strategist Mark Penn says in a memo e-mailed to reporters today.
The memo goes on to list numerous polls that shows Clinton defeating her primary opponents and leading the field in overall race for the presidency. It also lists the names of key political supporters around the country.
“The bottom line? Hillary’s electoral strength has grown in the last quarter and she is better positioned today than ever before to become the next President of the United Sates,” Penn concludes.

Honestly, I don’t know why she’s so popular.
She represents the status quo.
She won’t end the war.
She won’t bring universal health care.
What makes her any different than anyone else?
Now, give us a Denis Kucinich to vote for and things will change for the better right away. Hillary is just more of the same.
