Posted by: Glenn Blain - Posted in 2008, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton on Jul 15, 2007

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama don’t seem to be lacking cash as they head into the second half of 2007.

According to an Associated Press report out tonight, Clinton and Obama both reported more than $30 million on hand in their reports to the Federal Election Commission. The reports were due today.

Obama reported having about $34 million in primary cash on hand; Clinton reported $33 million.

Obama led in fundraising for the period covering April though June, raising nearly $32 million for the primary election and about $1 million for the general election, according to his report.

Clinton raised about $21.5 million for the primary and $5.6 million for the general election, her campaign said.

Obama reported raising his money from over 258,000 donors. We still do not have information about Sen. Hillary Clinton’s donor counts or the sources of her money. Obama’s camp provided a detailed break down of the sources of their money. We need the Clinon’s camp to do the same.

Will we be able to view the finances of local races on the Westchester County BOE website?
